Music has been known for centuries to soothe the savage beast. The same is true for dogs. Music has a calming effect on dogs, reducing stress and anxiety, and providing comfort during stressful situations, such as when you leave the house or when there are loud noises outside. Music can be used to help dogs relax, as well as to help them adjust to new environments. Studies have found that dogs exposed to soothing music show less stress-related behaviors such as panting and pacing, and that they spend more time lying down.
Scientific research has also found that music, particularly music that is slow and soothing, can actually reduce heart rate and slow breathing in dogs. This can be helpful to calm a stressed-out pup and help them feel more relaxed.
Playing music for your pup can help reduce stress and anxiety, promote relaxation, and help your pup and it's pretty nice for us humans as well!
